ECO-FOAM: it doesn't cost the earth

ECO-FOAM loosefill is comprised of over 85% corn starch, made from corn specially processed by National Starch and Chemical Company, provides ECO-FOAM loosefill with soft resilient properties similar to polystyrene.

Unlike polystyrene, ECO-FOAM has no need for chemical blowing agents like CFCs which harm the ozone layer.

When we think of something as biodegradable, we mean that it can be broken down and assimilated by natural means back into common earth elements like carbon, oxygen and hydrogen. ECO-FOAM starch-based packaging certainly fulfills this requirement and, in fact, the Fraunhofer-Institute of Munich has proved this through extensive testing, reporting that it "is biodegradable to a high degree".
